Dylan Sampson played more snaps than Quinshon Judkins last week, but that was largely because the Browns lost to the Steelers 27-6 and trailed from the middle of the first quarter on. Judkins had 11 carries, Sampson one. Sampson had 6-62-0 receiving, but it was purely garbage-time production. On the Browns' final drive of the game, when they were hopelessly behind, Sampson had check-down catches on three straight plays for 32 yards. I'm ranking Sampson as a midrange RB4 vs. the Saints and think starting him would be a mistake.

Sampson's garbage-time production masks limited role; avoid starting vs. Saints.

Recent return from knee injury has chipped away at Judkins' target total; played more snaps than Judkins last week (6-62-0 receiving) but that was largely garbage-time production after Browns trailed 27-6 from middle of first quarter; on Browns' final drive when hopelessly behind, Sampson had check-down catches on three straight plays for 32 yards; ranked as midrange RB4 vs. Saints and starting him would be a mistake.
