Gordon's strong recent form faces a Lions defense that funnels to passing, limiting his upside.

Gordon has been shockingly good since taking over for De'Von Achane several weeks ago, averaging 18.8 touches per game and scoring 13+ fantasy points in four of five contests. However, coming off his first dud (6.9 points against the Patriots), he faces an even tougher matchup in the Lions. Detroit is a massive pass-funnel opponent, allowing a league-high 298.7 yards per game on a league-high 41 attempts per game in passing, while allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs. Gordon has essentially zero role in the Miami passing attack, making it far more likely he has another medium-volume, low-efficiency day and ends up in single-digit fantasy points.
