Yahoo Sports NFL on Xavier Worthy

Worthy positioned as primary candidate to fill Thornton's deep-threat role.

Xavier Worthy is identified as the most obvious candidate to assume more vertical passing responsibility in the Chiefs offense following Tyquan Thornton's ankle injury. The source suggests that Worthy, along with Rashee Rice, Jalen Royals and Cyrus Allen, must contribute to restoring Kansas City's deep-ball threat and making New York's safeties respect the possibility of vertical passes.
