On one bootleg play, Sarratt was double covered on a pylon route with safety help, and Mendoza forced a throw that fell incomplete, turning what should have been an easy first down into third-and-long. On another play, Mendoza initially looked to Sarratt on an out route but recognized pressure and came off the read to find Sarratt on a sit/curl route over the center, a great processing decision that moved the sticks and put the offense in scoring position. Also featured on a deep shot read where Mendoza worked off coverage to attack the same route on the short side of the field.
