Evans departed as the Buccaneers' franchise icon and all-time best offensive player after 12 seasons and 176 career games. He leaves behind a major hole in the depth chart that is not easily replaceable. Evans brought consistent ability to beat man coverage, excellent jump ball and highlight-reel catch skills, and true explosive play potential. Without him on the field, Tampa struggled severely with uncovering versus man coverage, creating a significant puzzle for the remaining pass catchers and new offensive coordinator Zac Robinson to decode.
