49ers aging offense with Samuel swap; loses field-stretching ability vs. Pearsall.

The 49ers are replacing 25-year-old Ricky Pearsall with 30-year-old Deebo Samuel in a 1-for-1 swap, aging the offense by five or six years. Samuel's signing makes the 49ers the fourth team in the Super Bowl era to start five non-QB skill-position players age 30 or older in the same game. The team may lose field-stretching ability without Pearsall, though Samuel can still contribute on special teams with a 30.1 yards-per-return average (fourth in NFL) and a max speed of 19.23 mph on kickoffs.
