Horton returns from shin injury, managing reps while maintaining punt-return role.

Horton, a second-year receiver, is working his way back gradually after returning Saturday for the first time following a shin injury that caused him to miss the second half of last season. After getting work in team drills Saturday, he appeared to work mostly to the side during Sunday's team sessions, with the team managing his reps early on. However, Horton got plenty of work early in practice returning punts. In his first eight games of 2025, he had nine punt returns for 238 yards including a 95-yard touchdown against the Saints that set a Seahawks franchise record. With Rashid Shaheed also expected to be a big part of the offense after re-signing to a three-year deal worth up to $51 million, the Seahawks may spread punt-return work around and give Horton his share of reps, potentially giving Seattle an even more dynamic return game in 2026.
