Downs is one of the best separators in the NFL and an excellent route runner but didn't get enough snaps last season due to the Colts playing more 12-personnel, Michael Pittman Jr. returning to full health, and run-heavy scripts early in the season. Entering Year 4, Downs is set to play the highest rate of his career as the team's Z in two-receiver looks and dominate targets from the slot. As long as he stays healthy, he's a strong bet to lead the Colts in catches with Alec Pierce operating in the vertical game and coming off an injury. Harmon has always viewed Downs as more of a Tyler Lockett-type downfield slot, not just a popgun option, with strong hands and toughness in tight coverage.
