ESPN NFL on Kenneth Walker III

Walker featured in between-the-tackles carries and screen game; praised as dynamic athlete.

Running back is being featured in the Chiefs' offensive scheme with increased opportunities to carry the ball between the tackles, his preferred running style. The offense is experimenting with more under-center looks to showcase Walker's between-the-tackles ability. Center Creed Humphrey praised Walker as "a dynamic player, a freak athlete and great with his reads." Mahomes was also pleased with a screen pass to Walker from shotgun that resulted in the running back having plenty of open field to gain additional yards. The Chiefs are getting reps with Walker and other new backs to build cohesion in the screen game.
