Rodriguez cleared from foot injury; on schedule for Week 1 return.
Rodriguez returned to the field on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a left foot injury on the first day of offseason conditioning. Though fully cleared medically, the Jaguars are being cautious with his workload, limiting him to individual drills rather than team drills. Rodriguez said there are no lingering issues or soreness and is on a schedule to be back for Week 1. Coach Liam Coen signed him as a free agent to toughen up the run game, which was ineffective in the latter part of last season, noting that his best will not be seen until pads come on.
