Brown is attempting a comeback after a disappointing first three seasons with Washington; he showed promise in the 2024 postseason with 229 receiving yards across three playoff games (more than any of his first three full seasons combined), including five catches on five targets for 89 yards and a TD against Tampa Bay and six catches on eight targets for 98 yards against Detroit. After the Jaguars stint fell through, Washington brought him back on a one-year, $1.75 million deal. Brown arrived early and stayed late on the first day of camp, demonstrating determination to make an impact. He has flashed in training camps before but failed to carry performance into the regular season; however, he made plays in red-zone drills including a toe-tap touchdown grab in the corner of the end zone, which is not something he had been known for previously.
