Pearsall has shown efficiency improvement but remains injury-prone. Limited to 20 of 34 possible regular season games in two years since being drafted No. 31 overall, he increased his yards per route run from 1.26 to 1.60 in 2025 and generated 528 yards in nine games (vs. 400 in 11 games in 2024), averaging nearly 15 yards per catch with two 100-yard efforts. However, he failed to find the end zone. The 49ers' investments in Evans and De'Zhaun Stribling signal a lack of faith in the 26-year-old, but he still has the best chance at the No. 2 job.
