Jones' FCS accolades and SEC-level PFF grades suggest pro potential despite limited starter experience.

Jones is a hybrid tight end with formational versatility to play inline, slot, wing, and out of the backfield. At 6'2" 238 lb., he is built like a big receiver with muscled arms and good upper body strength, though his athletic testing was pedestrian. He never broke through as a full-time starter through college stops at Maine, Montana State, and Arkansas, but won FCS All-American accolades and had an extraordinary amount of big plays. He garnered good Pro Football Focus grades against SEC competition in 2025. He has traits to be a good route runner with sharp cuts, doesn't round them off, and has very good feel for sitting down in soft areas of zones. He is a good ball tracker with body control to corral off-line throws and strong at contested catches. He appears to be a pretty good open-field runner with fluid catch/run transition, shows a second gear and runs with good contact balance. As a pro, he'll need to be more physical and work on blocking.
