It's easy to see why the Jets coveted Mitchell when you watch his best highlights. Mitchell is an elite and easy mover, is 6-foot-2, 205 pounds and runs a 4.34 40-yards dash. The 2026 season looks like it will provide him the runway to finally deliver on that potential. The WR82 in ESPN drafts, Mitchell is going well behind new rookie teammates Omar Cooper Jr. and Kenyon Sadiq. Garrett Wilson will be the alpha in this Jets passing attack, but I fully expect Mitchell to be second on the team in target share. The value on Mitchell is absurd. Geno Smith, behind a very good line, should provide a significant upgrade for the offense at quarterback, and the Jets could be throwing the ball a lot in trailing game scripts. With a full offseason in the program under his belt, the drum beat on Mitchell this summer has been steadily crescendoing.
