Video: Feel It Or F--It 7.27.26: An RSP Cast with Matt Waldman and Bob Harris
JJ McCarthy has not looked good early on. And that there's been some problems with accuracy... Kyler and he's not looking good enough in camp to be the clear-cut number one... Kyler Murray's going to start the year as the QB won... I'm still thinking it's going to be Kyler Murray, but like I'm not as I'm not eager drafting him as eagerly as I was with that little bit of uncertainty.

Camp concerns and McCarthy competition reduce draft appeal vs. late-round alternatives.

Cardinals QB expected to start Week 1, but camp performance concerns and QB competition uncertainty with JJ McCarthy have reduced draft enthusiasm. Matt Waldman notes McCarthy has not looked good early on with accuracy problems, and Kyler isn't looking good enough in camp to be the clear-cut number one. While local observers have little doubt about the starter designation, Ian Rapoport's reporting of a competition extending to Week 1 creates enough uncertainty that Malik Willis becomes a more attractive late-round gamble at the position. Waldman is not as eager drafting Murray as he was before this uncertainty emerged.
