Williams praised as polished route runner with OROTY potential; GM backs his versatility.

Third-round draft pick Antonio Williams is a polished and refined route runner who easily creates separation; he is a natural fit for the slot with good understanding of zone-scheme run-blocking. General manager Adam Peters has made it clear he believes Williams has the necessary versatility to play on the outside. In college, Williams created yards after the catch and has excellent vision with the ball in his hands. Early in OTAs, Williams staked his claim for the WR2 job, and Dan Quinn was quick to praise the rookie wide receiver; there has been early discussion of Williams as a potential offensive rookie of the year candidate.
