Windy City Gridiron on Caleb Williams

Veteran CB Johnson calls Williams best QB since Foles; praises accuracy and tight-window confidence.

Cornerback Jaylon Johnson, the Bears' longest-tenured player entering his seventh season, offered direct praise of Williams' performance in training camp: "Caleb's the best quarterback I've had since maybe Nick Foles if you want to go back that far. Just as far as slinging it, he's doing his thing. You can see the accuracy. You can see the confidence throwing the ball in tight windows." Johnson characterized this as "the best offense I've had in 7 years" and highlighted the unit's buy-in and belief in the offensive system.
