Barkley will be used as a pass-catching option out of the backfield in the new scheme.

OC Sean Mannion indicated Saquon Barkley is capable of being utilized out of the backfield as a pass catcher in the new scheme; running backs will have blocking duties and other assignments based on defensive looks, but all are capable pass catchers and good route runners who can be deployed based on protection needs.
