Sanders in QB competition after historically poor rookie season; not locker room favorite.

Sanders is competing with Deshaun Watson and other quarterbacks for the Browns' starting position. Head coach Todd Monken is evaluating the competition through training camp installs and practice reps, assessing line-of-scrimmage operation, huddle command, and concept understanding. Sanders is characterized as a 'former fifth-round draft pick who posted one of the worst rookie seasons in the past 25 years,' indicating significant performance concerns. Locker room sentiment suggests Sanders is not viewed as the best quarterback option on the roster.
