Yahoo Sports NFL on Marvin Mims

Mims standing out in WR3 battle; contract year could fuel breakout season.

Wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. has stood out amongst the WR3 contenders early in Broncos training camp, making plays throughout camp and catching long touchdown passes from both Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham while being heavily targeted during 11-on-11 team periods. Mims is in a contract year, and the source notes that if he continues this sort of play throughout camp and into the regular season, he seems like a strong candidate to have a breakout season. While his work as a wide receiver has been inconsistent historically, he has been a reliable deep threat and had stretches of really good football.
