Jordan James suffered a fractured rib on Monday, and he's expected to miss some time. James was expected to compete with Black for the backup RB job in San Francisco, and the third-round rookie now has the inside track for the job. James' rib injury and Guerendo sidelined; Black now clear backup to aging McCaffrey.

Black rose 13.4 spots after Jordan James suffered a fractured rib and Isaac Guerendo was sidelined, leaving Black as the clear backup to Christian McCaffrey. With McCaffrey now 30 years old and coming off a league-leading 413 touches (excluding playoffs) with a history of injury concerns, Black has the inside track to the No. 2 RB role and could see spot starts if McCaffrey misses time, making him a potentially lucrative late-round flyer.
