STACKED’s take
Flournoy earning 1,000-yard endorsement from Lamb; crisp route runner emerging as WR3 in new scheme.
Flournoy, a third-year WR in the WR3 role, has impressed in a way the Cowboys have been lacking for some time. CeeDee Lamb himself gave a recent endorsement saying Flournoy can be a 1,000-yard receiver in this offense. Flournoy's crispness as a route runner has stood out from training camp highlight clips, and he is winning all over the field in the new scheme installed by Schottenheimer and Klayton Adams. With Lamb and Pickens as top-dog receivers leaving plenty of room for a third to take advantage of coverage mismatches, Flournoy is establishing himself in a way that keeps the whole offense humming—an area where the Cowboys have historically fallen short.
