Saints guard David Edwards highlighted Etienne's patience and decision-making as a key strength in the Saints' backfield. Edwards said: "I think the beauty of Travis is his ability to start and stop and kind of have this patience behind the line of scrimmage as well as at the line of scrimmage. Then make a decision and go is really special and unique." The coaching staff is positioning each running back to fit his skill set, with Etienne's patience and vision being a differentiator in the ground game.
