ESPN NFL on Kyler Murray

Murray struggles with timing and route communication in new offense.

On the first day of the Vikings training camp visit, Murray looked like a player in his second day in a new offense. In 7-on-7s, he threw a vertical ball to Jordan Addison that sailed high, raising questions about route communication. Later, he targeted Justin Jefferson on a glance RPO but the timing wasn't perfect over the middle, and a driving safety broke up the pass. Coach Kevin O'Connell had to model footwork and show Murray how to improve his preparation to throw.
