If we're just strictly looking for running backs who could finish as the overall RB1 in PPR, it's James Cook for me. Last season he laughed in anyone and everyone's face who thought regression might be coming—he finished the year with a career-high 67% attempt share and was the rushing leader.

Cook's potential 60-70% route rate could unlock RB1 upside above current draft position.
Cook is Kendall Valenzuela's pick to finish as the overall RB1 in PPR. Last season he finished with a career-high 67% attempt share and was the rushing leader. Training camp reports indicate the Bills running backs have been noticeably more involved as pass catchers in practice. Cook caught 33 passes last year and has broken 40 catches once in four seasons; the lack of receiving role has been his only knock. If he takes on a 60–70% route participation rate, he'd be drafted significantly higher than current ADP.
