From the article

STACKED’s take
Thomas's 87-catch rookie season unlikely to repeat; added competition and QB preference for slots warrant selling.
Thomas's rookie season of 87 catches, 1,282 yards, and 10 touchdowns is viewed as unlikely to be repeated given real added target competition from a teammate who came on strong late last season, another solid veteran addition, and a two-way rookie wildcard. He actually produced more with a backup quarterback than with his primary starter that year, and that starter has a track record of favoring underneath and slot-type receivers over true outside threats. There's real risk Thomas becomes a purely vertical decoy role this year, taking the top off coverage without drawing consistent volume himself, a risk reinforced by a brutal opening schedule against several of the league's best cornerbacks over his first seven games. Even so, people are likely to keep paying for Thomas based purely on that huge rookie season, making now a reasonable sell-low window before that gap becomes obvious to the broader market.
