TreVeyon Henderson fantasy football insight from Hayden Winks - PPR Rankings

Henderson reminds me of Raheem Mostert. The breakaway ability is top notch, and there is very obvious upside if he can do just enough between the tackles in a good offense. The Patriots are there, so it's simply up to Henderson as he looks to overtake Rhamondre Stevenson, who has every bit of 25 pounds on him. Henderson's tape was very boom bust. Early on, he ran indecisive between the tackles to the point the coaching staff eventually just primarily pointed him to the sideline. He was able to break off explosives doing that, and he did occasionally bounce an inside run to the perimeter for chunk gains, too. The long speed is impressive. Henderson doesn't have the mass to break tackles, so he needs to avoid them altogether. This is concerning as Stevenson's positives are just the opposite. Stevenson had +31% rush yards over expected on carries with 3-or-fewer yards to go, while Henderson was at -1%. Stevenson also handled 12-of-16 inside the 5-yard line carries between the two of them when healthy. Stevenson also was the RB1 overall in NextGenStat's rush yards over expected per carry! Henderson did go absolutely nuts in the 3-game sample without Stevenson, however. That was 16.5 expected half PPR points (RB4 overall) without Stevenson, then just 7.7 with Stevenson (RB50). During the 4 postseason games, Stevenson had 12.0 expected points to Henderson's 5.1. There is one thing that Henderson should get better at in year two: the pass game.
