Ford limited in preseason action as Commanders manage running back rotation.

Jerome Ford was active for Friday night's preseason game against Miami but the Commanders chose to limit his exposure during the game. With McNichols dealing with a quadriceps issue and Croskey-Merritt and Rachaad White held out to avoid unnecessary injury risk, Ford's limited role opened the door for rookies Robert Henry Jr. and Kaytron Allen to get significant carries. Ford remains part of a competitive running back room alongside the two rookies and the earmarked starters.
