Chase Roberts is looking like a practice-squad guy at best this season; he's listed as a fourth-stringer on the unofficial depth chart, behind Shedrick Jackson and Deven Thompkins, who are also competing for a roster spot. Fellow UDFA E.J. Williams Jr. may also be ahead of Roberts, meaning the former Cougar has an uphill battle to make the 53-man roster. In Thursday night's preseason game, Roberts played only 14 offensive snaps, had two targets, caught one for a 12-yard gain, but also had a drop.
