Ferguson's elite athleticism and TE-heavy Rams scheme offer upside if role expands.

Ferguson, a second-round pick in 2025, drew only 25 targets as a rookie and caught 11 of them, but averaged 21 yards per catch and 9.2 yards per target. He is an extraordinary physical specimen—6-foot-5½, 247 pounds with a 4.63 40-yard dash and 39-inch vertical at the combine. However, the Rams are log-jammed at tight end with Ferguson rotating alongside Colby Parkinson, Tyler Higbee, and Davis Allen, and they added Max Klare in the second round of this year's draft. Ferguson averaged fewer snaps per game than the other three. On the bright side, Rams head coach Sean McVay used 13 personnel (three TEs on field) on 30.5% of offensive snaps last season—no other team exceeded 14%—and Rams tight ends combined for 150 targets, 103 catches, 1,128 yards and 17 touchdowns. Role ambiguity makes Ferguson undraftable in all but the deepest leagues, but his athleticism and possibility of earning a bigger role in a TE-friendly offense make him worth monitoring.
