I might move JT over McAffrey. JT finally unlocked a receiving ceiling last uh season... JT last year I think he set like a career high in routes run like his receiving role was awesome and they added nobody... they want to feature JT as like a true every-down bellcow... JT was injury-prone for a second there and then all of a sudden he wasn't.
STACKED’s take
Moving ahead of CMC; unlocked receiving ceiling with career-high routes.
Ron Stewart is starting to move Jonathan Taylor over Christian McCaffrey, citing that JT finally unlocked a receiving ceiling last season. In a full PPR start-nine format with two WR and three FLEX, Stewart prefers JT despite CMC feeling more exciting. JT set a career-high in routes run last year with an awesome receiving role; the Colts added no receiving back competition (DJ Giddens, Seth McGawan, and Kenneth Gainwell are bottom-barrel depth options), positioning him as a true every-down bellcow with a good offensive line and the highest floor in the RB tier. Stewart uses JT as a historical example of a running back who was injury-prone early in his career but eventually overcame that narrative, suggesting injury concerns should not be overweighted.
