ArticleReplacing Higgins: Sign or Trade?
From the article
While this makes for great sports bar discussion around a pitcher of draft, the reality is Hopkins is currently a coach, no longer employed as an NFL wideout. With the number of teams out there who could use a former pro bowler, the fact that Nuk is on the sidelines speaks volumes to his ability to step into a WR2 role.

DeAndre Hopkins is coaching, not playing; past his prime for WR2 role.
Former Houston receiving superstar is currently a coach, no longer employed as an NFL wideout. Despite nostalgia for a potential reunion, Hopkins' current sideline role speaks volumes to his inability to step into a WR2 role in 2026. While a prime D-Hop paired with Collins and Dell would be ideal, he is clearly past that juncture in his career.
