Second-team running back Rico Dowdle was signed to a two-year contract in March to replace departed team MVP Kenneth Gainwell as starter Jaylen Warren's top counterpart at the position. He had five carries for 18 yards and added a catch for two yards on the promising second-quarter drive against the Jets, finishing the first half with 17 yards on five touches.
