Prentice signed by Giants as UDFA to fill in for injured Calvin Austin III.

The 22-year-old undrafted free agent wide receiver was signed by the Giants on Wednesday after being originally signed by the Panthers as an UDFA out of Baylor following the 2026 draft. Prentice is undersized at 5-foot-9, 184 pounds but athletic with good speed (4.39-second 40-yard dash), explosiveness (36-inch vertical), and acceptable quickness (7.16-second 3-cone drill). He is slightly bigger than Calvin Austin III but not quite as athletic. Prentice likely fills the roster spot opened by Austin's torn ACL suffered in Tuesday's practice.
