Dawgs By Nature on Shedeur Sanders

Relegated to backup; future in Cleveland narrowing despite Watson health concerns.

Lost the QB competition to Deshaun Watson and has been relegated to backup role. The source states 'the path to any future for Shedeur Sanders in Cleveland is narrowing' but notes that the path 'has not completely vanished because I have no faith that Deshaun Watson can stay healthy for an entire season or be productive enough to keep the job.' Sanders, a fifth-round draft choice from last year, was the primary competition to Watson, but the starter decision signals the organization's lack of confidence in his near-term prospects.
