Watson signs $110.5M extension; elite YPR and deep-ball ability cement No. 1 role.

Watson signed a 4-year, $110.5M extension with $31M signing bonus, placing him 15th in average annual salary among wide receivers at $27.625M. The 2022 second-round pick returned Week 8 from a torn ACL and posted 35 catches, 611 yards, and 6 TDs in 10 games, ranking 14th in receiving yards, 2nd in yards per catch (17.5), and tied for 5th in TD catches on 55 targets. Watson has averaged 17 yards per reception since 2022, with only Alec Pierce (Indianapolis) posting higher YPR over that span. The source notes his top-end speed, deep-ball ability, proficiency at multiple receiver positions, and improved hands make him the closest thing the Packers have to a true No. 1 wide receiver.
