Brooks is an outstanding blocking back and a good enough receiver. He's very useful and he's capable of rattling off 5 yards a carry against light boxes while keeping your QB upright. I love Chris Brooks as a player, just not at 200 carries.

Brooks is an outstanding blocking back and a good enough receiver who is very useful and capable of rattling off 5 yards per carry against light boxes while keeping the quarterback upright. The source loves Chris Brooks as a player, just not at 200 carries. In a potential committee scenario without Josh Jacobs, Brooks would be part of a Strong/Lloyd/Brooks rotation that the source views as probably fine, with the added benefit that Matt LaFleur would be somewhat likely to run less without a proven workhorse, increasing pass volume.
