Jaxson Dart will enter the Sept. 13 season-opener against Dallas without live competition in 29 days; he played briefly in the preseason opener vs. Minnesota but has not played since. Head coach John Harbaugh decided not to play the second-year quarterback Friday vs. the Jets, deeming it 'not worth the risk.' Harbaugh acknowledged the rust concern: 'I think there is a concern, and the concern is that they won't have played in a game for a long time. So, will there be a rust factor, those kinds of things.' The conservative approach prioritized injury avoidance over game reps, as playing Dart would have required other frontline players to also see action.
