Strand was kept corked in the preseason finale, with the heavy lifting falling to Cooper Rush instead. The question remains whether the Falcons view Strand's upside as significant enough to part ways with Cooper Rush or try to sneak Rush onto the practice squad. Strand did have a fairly sharp performance in limited action, minus an interception that went off Nate Carter's hands and into the air for Miami.
