Atwell was reacquired by the Rams in a trade with Miami and adds depth to the receiver room with speed and versatility. McVay stated the trade was 'exclusively a guy that we're familiar with' and 'adds depth, gives us an opportunity to be able to have that speed element and he can do some different things.' Kelly Stafford's enthusiastic Instagram post suggests family approval. The trade does not bump any previously-slated receivers off the roster, indicating the Rams could keep as many as seven wideouts.
