Lemon's preseason debut showed versatility but marred by drop and muffed punt; injury recovery ongoing.

First-round WR making preseason debut after missing most of training camp with a hamstring injury. Saw 17 offensive snaps in his debut against Cincinnati, recording 3 catches on 5 targets for 3 yards. Had a notable drop on a slant route from Tanner McKee that resulted in an interception, and also muffed a punt return. The source notes he played half snaps out wide and half in the slot, 'perhaps providing a glimpse at the versatility he'll provide Jalen Hurts alongside DeVonta Smith in the starting offense.' Coach Sirianni stated 'He's got to continue to develop, young player, and we know we're going to be able to count on him this year.' Lemon acknowledged the mistakes and expressed confidence they won't recur in the regular season.
