Starter DeVonta Smith did not play at all in the preseason. The receiving corps, weakened after the A.J. Brown trade, will depend heavily on Smith emerging as a quality No. 1 NFL go-to receiver. Much will depend on whether the 6-foot, 170-pound Smith can hold up the entire season given the additional pounding he will take in Brown's absence.
