Tyrell Shavers is the player to watch. Shavers has remained on PUP throughout the summer after an ACL injury in January, keeping him eligible for Reserve/PUP at roster cutdowns. Under the new rule, Buffalo could theoretically open his practice window after Week 2... but it's highly doubtful.

Defensive back has remained on PUP throughout the summer after an ACL injury in January, keeping him eligible for Reserve/PUP at roster cutdowns. Under the new 2026 rule, Buffalo could theoretically open his practice window after Week 2, though it is highly doubtful they will do so immediately. The Bills have the option to time the practice window opening strategically.
