Yahoo Sports NFL on Jacob Saylors

Saylors led all NFL players in preseason scrimmage yards; won RB4 competition decisively.

Saylors won the RB4 competition against Jabari Small decisively, finishing the preseason with more scrimmage yards than any other player in the NFL. Dan Campbell had noted the competition was neck-and-neck a few weeks prior, but since then it was almost all Saylors, establishing him as the clear backup option behind the Lions' top three running backs.
