Rodriguez graded well in that role last season on the Commanders, and he was more of a true bellcow under coach Liam Coen when they were together at Kentucky a few years back. Coen clearly values Rodriguez's consistent, powerful style, and the way he's explained the backfield has me perking my ears up. At one point this offseason, Coen said he's looking for 'efficiency' for his running back room, and in the follow up to that, he called Rodriguez 'efficient' and the type of guy to churn out those four, six, eight, 10-yard runs.

STACKED’s take

Positive signalSleeper

Rodriguez's 45% draft rate undervalues his goal-line role and Coen's efficiency praise.

Rodriguez drafted in just 45% of Yahoo leagues despite being valued as a goal-line complement to Bhayshul Tuten in Jacksonville's backfield; coach Liam Coen explicitly called him 'efficient' and praised his ability to churn out consistent 4-10 yard runs. The ADP gap between Tuten (Round 5) and Rodriguez is too wide in half PPR; if Tuten misses time or underperforms, Rodriguez has 'This Year's Javonte Williams' upside with a fairer comparison to Jamaal Williams' goal-line role.
