Nabers' altered practice routine and cryptic comments fuel Week 1 availability uncertainty.

Nabers did not follow his usual practice routine on Tuesday, remaining inside with training staff during stretching warmups and individual drills before joining the field roughly 20 minutes into practice. Head coach John Harbaugh downplayed the significance, calling it "just part of the process" as Nabers recovers from a torn ACL and pair of surgeries to repair his knee. Harbaugh said Nabers took "most of the team reps" after coming out to the practice field, but the Giants are planning for multiple scenarios: Nabers fully available, not available at all, or available in partial capacity. Nabers himself remained cryptic about Week 1 availability, saying "that would be a decision that would be made when that time comes" and noting he still has "some things that you still got to work on" and hasn't been hit in game action yet. With Week 1 less than two weeks away against Dallas, his status remains uncertain.
