The Detroit Lions announced that they have added running back Isiah Pacheco to injured reserve. Pacheco will be forced to miss at least the first four games of the season. Pacheco was dealing with a back injury during training camp, and it appeared to be bad enough to force him to miss the first month of the regular season.

Pacheco was placed on injured reserve by the Detroit Lions due to a back injury sustained during training camp; he will miss at least the first four games of the season (Weeks 1–4 against New Orleans, Buffalo, New York Jets, and Carolina) and is first eligible to return in Week 5 against Arizona. Pacheco signed a one-year, $1.81 million deal with Detroit this offseason to back up Jahmyr Gibbs after Kansas City let him walk.
