He caught three of his five targets for three yards, was targeted on Tanner McKee's interception, and muffed a punt late in the game. However, I am not going to panic about a first-round receiver after one preseason appearance.

First-round WR's debut mixed: solid press release, poor route deception at top.

First-round receiver caught 3 of 5 targets for 3 yards in preseason debut against Bengals, including a target on Tanner McKee's interception and a muffed punt. Film review shows mixed technical execution: beats press coverage at line of scrimmage and stacks defender well, but fails to manipulate defensive backs after establishing leverage by looking inside without selling the route direction, allowing cornerback to read and make play on football. Source notes this is only one rep and not panicking on first-round pick, but Lemon must improve at route deception against NFL cornerbacks.
