STACKED’s take
Shough's strong second-half rookie performance and easy schedule make him a 2026 sleeper QB.
Shough, a second-round draft pick, was a pleasant surprise for New Orleans as a rookie and now enters 2026 as the Saints' undisputed starter. After Spencer Rattler started the first eight games in 2025, Shough took over in Week 9 and guided the team to a 5-4 record down the stretch. He was QB12 in fantasy points per game from Week 9 through the regular season and produced at least 17.1 fantasy points in each of his last six starts. Shough completed 67.6% of his throws, averaged 7.3 yards per pass attempt, had 10 TD passes and six interceptions, and averaged 16.9 rushing yards per game with three TD runs. Only one of the teams he faced (Rams) ranked inside the top 10 in DVOA against the pass. The Saints should have an easy schedule again in 2026.
