Cousins named Raiders QB1 for Week 1 after strong camp, but Mendoza expected soon.

Raiders HC Klint Kubiak named Kirk Cousins the starting quarterback for Week 1, with Kubiak stating "He played really good football. I'm really happy with all three of our quarterbacks. Kirk's had a really good offseason, very good camp and he's earned it." The source characterizes this as "the least-exciting outcome" and notes the bigger question is whether Cousins can keep the offense efficient enough to create consistent scoring opportunities, with the expectation that rookie Fernando Mendoza may see action sooner rather than later.
